Description: - An early 20th century Danish Skønvirke 18 carat yellow gold and aventurine brooch by Evald Nielsen. The cabochon cut aventurine is a lovely shimmering and glistening colour of green.

The brooch is stamped with the makers mark 'EN' for Evald Nielsen, and '750', '18K' to denote 18 carat gold.

Period: - Early 20th Century.

Measurement: - The brooch measures 7.1cm from end to end. The central aventurine measures 21mm x 13mm.

Weight: - 10.1 grams.

Condition: - The brooch is in good condition. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear and age. The aventurine gemstone displays light wear. Gemstone treatment is unknown. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition.
